China exports 4.476 billion us dollars of medical equipment to countries along the "One Belt And One Road"


According to Chinese customs data, in 2017, the trade volume of medical devices between the 64 countries along the "One Belt And One Road" and China reached 6.361 billion us dollars, an increase of 7.70% compared with the same period, accounting for 15.12% of China's total foreign trade in global medical devices in the same period. Among them, China's exports of medical devices to countries along the "One Belt And One Road" were 4.476 billion us dollars, up 4.98% year on year. Imports of medical equipment from countries along the "One Belt And One Road" route reached us $1.886 billion, up 14.75% year-on-year, with a trade surplus of us $2.59 billion.The trade competition index is 0.4, indicating that the medical device products made in China have certain competitive advantages in the countries along the "One Belt And One Road".

In 2017, China exported medical devices to 64 countries along the "" One Belt And One Road" "route, with an export volume of us $4.476 billion, up 4.98 percent year-on-year.In terms of specific countries, the top five markets are India, Russian federation, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam, with the export value of us $1.688 billion, accounting for 37.7% of China's total exports.The top 10 export markets were us $2.843 billion, accounting for 63.5% of the total, with exports to India, Russia, Vietnam, Poland, Thailand, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey growing to varying degrees, while Singapore and the Philippines saw negative growth.In 2017, China exported the most medical devices to India, accounting for 12.4% of the total value at us $556 million, much higher than other countries.In addition, it is worth noting that since 2017, bilateral trade between China and Russia has shown a more obvious good momentum of stabilization and recovery, with the export volume increasing by 5.05% year-on-year and more than 12% compared with the same period in 2016.

From the specific products, export products for the top five: syringe, needle, catheter, cannula, and other similar products, massage equipment, stainless steel sink and wash basin and other sanitary ware, other corrected visual acuity, eye protection, or other use of glasses, wind mirror and similar products, other steel sanitary ware (including parts), export $402 million, accounting for 31.32% of total exports of medical equipment, more than 5% of export amount accounted.The main export products are mostly low value-added medical devices.
